Qualifications
- Master's degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program.
- ASCP PA(ASCP) certification.
- New York State PA license or eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Perform gross examination, description, dissection, and sampling of a broad spectrum of surgical pathology specimens.
- Evaluate and prepare tissue for intraoperative consultation and frozen section with pathologists.
- Photograph and document gross specimens and ensure accurate orientation and submission.
- Teach and mentor residents and learners in gross examination and surgical pathology technique.
