The Johns Hopkins Hospital, part of Johns Hopkins Medicine, seeks a Pathologists' Assistant for the Surgical Pathology Lab in Baltimore, MD. This full-time eve-shift position (1pm-9:30pm) supports grossing, autopsy work, tumor banking, and resident education. PA-Pathologist's Assistant 10000064 Upon Hire is required.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pathologists' Assistant is required.
• Strong adaptability, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
• Demonstrates data integrity, confidentiality, and patient-centered care.
• Works well within diverse teams and follows healthcare policies.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care by grossing and dissecting tissue specimens under supervision.
• Perform autopsies and related reporting, including gross dissection and sampling.
• Capture specimens for tumor banks and support research activities.
• Educate residents and trainees in grossing and autopsy techniques.
• Assist in departmental policy development and laboratory accreditation activities.
• Ensure supplies and lab maintenance; support cost-effective operations.
