Sonic Healthcare USA is hiring a Pathologists Assistant in Las Vegas, NV. The role involves preparing, gross describing, and dissecting human tissue specimens. You will operate a range of lab equipment in a fast-paced environment and ensure safety, quality, and compliance.

Requirements include a BS or MS in Pathologist Assistant from an accredited program, 1 year grossing experience, and ASCP BOC certification. Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master’s Pathologist Assistant program from a NCCLS accredited institution.
• 1 year of laboratory experience grossing all tissue types from simple to complex.
• Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists BOC.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment including telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, and pipettes.

Responsibilities

• Perform preparation, gross description, and dissection of human tissue surgical specimens.
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement solutions.
