Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Pathologist Assistant to provide accurate processing of a full spectrum of tissue specimens under the direction of a pathologist. The role supports SHC's mission and laboratory services with technical expertise and judgment.

The candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree and PA(ASCP) certification, with certification required within 6 months of start date. Priority is given to those with experience in grossing simple to complex cases and a strong commitment to quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and ASCP Pathologist Assistant certification required.
• ASCP Pathologist Assist certification required within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Process a full spectrum of simple and complex tissue specimens under supervision.
• Provide the technical knowledge and judgment to support SHC pathology services.
• Assist with specimen accessioning and coordination for special studies as needed.
• Coordinate with pathologists and lab leadership to ensure quality and turnaround times.
• Assist in maintaining equipment, QA, and accreditation readiness.

Education

Bachelor's Degree Pathologist Assistant PA(ASCP) - ASCP Board of Certification -REQUIRED
