General Surgical Pathologist

Location: ORLANDO or PORT ST. LUCIE, FL.

Quest Diagnostics’ AmeriPath is a leading national provider of anatomic pathology, molecular diagnostic, and healthcare information services for cancer detection, diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment. With over 400 board-certified pathologists and Ph.D. scientists, we serve physicians, hospitals, clinical labs, and ambulatory surgery centers across the US.

Our Tampa, Florida Business Unit seeks a General Surgical Pathologist with subspecialty training in Cytology, Genitourinary, Gastrointestinal, Breast, Women’s Health, Head and Neck, or Soft Tissue Pathology. The role involves reviewing outpatient biopsies, with no autopsies or weekend/on-call duties. Occasional frozen sections, mainly skin specimens, are performed. The candidate will join a team of 24 pathologists with diverse expertise, fostering good camaraderie and easy interdepartmental consultation. The position is based in Orlando or Port St. Lucie, depending on candidate preference.

Experience, Qualifications, and Certifications

• Pathologist with 2+ years’ experience post-fellowship preferred, not required
• Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
• Medical Degree
• Current unrestricted medical license in FL
• Interest in Digital Pathology, Artificial Intelligence, and Precision Medicine, as the practice begins to utilize digital pathology for sign-out
