Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a locum pathologist in Illinois to cover 12–15 surgical pathology cases daily, with involvement in anatomic & clinical pathology, cytology, and peripheral smear work. Cytology includes FNA; Pap smears, bone marrow, and autopsies are not included.

The role offers housing and travel arrangements with comprehensive malpractice coverage, and a streamlined credentialing process to facilitate assignments.

Qualifications

• Experience in surgical pathology required.
• Familiarity with cytology and peripheral smear is advantageous.
• Knowledge of blood bank operations is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Examine 12–15 surgical pathology cases per day.
• Work across anatomic & clinical pathology, cytology, and related areas.
• Handle cytology including FNA; exclude Pap smears, bone marrow, autopsies.
• Coordinate with facilities through CompHealth for credentialing and time entry.

Job description

Some locum assignments can be as short as a day, others, years. Some are far from home, others are local. Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm -- no call requirements

12 - 15 surgical pathology cases per day

Anatomic & clinical pathology, cytology, peripheral smear, blood bank

Cytology includes FNA -- no Pap smears, no bone marrow, no autopsies

100 cytology cases included in scope

We negotiate better pay and deposit it weekly

From $180.00 to $220.00 Hourly
