Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a pathologist for locum tenens assignments in Alabama. Schedule 7:30 am–3 pm, Mon–Fri with rare evening calls; 20–30 cases per day; heavy GI biopsy and non-gyn cytology; peripheral smear reviews; FNA smears in radiology; touch preps for biopsy adequacy.

No PA on staff; no autopsies; most bone marrows sent out; paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing; 24-hour consultant access; Weatherby is a charter member of NALTO.

• General pathology mix with heavy GI biopsy and non-gyn cytology.
• FNA smears in radiology; touch preps for biopsy adequacy.
• Peripheral smear reviews; blood bank questions included in workload.
• Pathologists gross in the afternoon; no PA on staff.
• No autopsies; most bone marrows sent out.
