Job summary

Allied Search Partners is seeking a Pathologist Assistant in Gaithersburg, MD for a full-time role providing consultation, histology, and diagnostic support to cardiovascular disease projects in the Washington DC metro area.

Ideal candidates have NAACLS training or an MS in biological sciences, with hands-on lab experience and strong written/verbal communication. ASCP certification preferred; MS Office skills required.

Qualifications

• Pathologists’ Assistant training program (NAACLS) or MS degree required.
• National Certification (ASCP) preferred.
• Hands-on laboratory experience required.
• Must be well organized and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must adhere to GLP, CAP, and SOP policies and procedures, as applicable.
• Strong computer competence (Microsoft Office) and ability to learn new programs quickly.

Responsibilities

• Case tracking management
• Gross tissue dissection

• Organization of lab work for the pathologist
• Writing preliminary reports for analysis.
