Job summary

Qualifications

• NYS pathology assistant license required.
• AAPA fellowship or ASCP certification required.
• Previous related experience including surgical pathology and histology procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares tissue for pathological tests including frozen section diagnosis.
• Photographs specimens and assists in educational conferences.
• Performs postmortem examinations, addressing QA Reports.
• Assist with gross description and prepare tissue for processing.
• Obtain biological specimens for analysis.
