Job summary

VARITE is seeking a Pathobiology Contractor in Foster City, CA to support drug discovery and development. The role centers on IHC/CISH assay development, tissue handling, and collaboration with internal and external teams to identify and validate targets in oncology, fibrosis, and virology.

A BS with 8+ years or MS with 6+ years of experience is required; onsite work in Foster City. The contract spans 18 months with possible extension.

Qualifications

• Experience in IHC method development and validation.
• Tissue handling and image analysis experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Support drug discovery and development within Research.
• Work with Pathobiology Group and collaborations to identify targets.
• Develop tissue-based assays and optimize antibody reagents for IHC/CISH.
• Plan, execute, and troubleshoot experiments under timelines.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior staff.
