Job summary

Hinds Community College seeks a PATH (Pathways to Advancement Through Hinds) Coordinator to guide special population dual-enrolled students with academic support, advising, and progress toward credentials. The role is campus-based within the Dual Enrollment department and reports to the Dean of Instruction.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and has experience in program coordination or academic services within education or workforce development settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; fields include business administration, management, public administration, organizational leadership, education.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.
• Assist in implementing the PATH initiative and serve as on-site contact for students, parents, counselors, and instructors.
• Coordinate student schedules, admissions, and enrollment with district and college partners.
• Monitor student eligibility, placement, and progress to ensure program compliance.
• Monitor attendance, grades, and course engagement to identify at-risk students.
• Develop personalized academic and success plans for students needing extra support.
• Organize workshops and orientations on time management, college expectations, and academic integrity.
• Collaborate with high school counselors, instructors, and administrators to align graduation requirements with college pathways.
• Serve as liaison to faculty teaching dual enrollment courses, assisting with roster management and reporting.
