Remote Patent Prosecution Legal Secretary

Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Patent Prosecution Legal Secretary with experience in Chemical, Biotech, Biopharma, or Mechanical patent prosecution. This position is fully remote but requires candidates to reside in California, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, or Washington.

Location & Hours
  • Must live in CA, AZ, CO, OR, or WA
  • Fully remote, with in-office requirements for those within 1.5 hours of Denver, LA, or SF (3 days/week)
  • Hours: PDT Zone 9-5:30, CDT Zone 10:30-7 or 11-7:30
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $89,000 - $113,000, based on experience
  • Paid overtime
  • Outstanding benefits package including healthcare, dental, vision, AD&D, STD, LTD, 20 days PTO, life insurance, holidays, 401(k) contributions, and a social, diverse culture
Responsibilities
  • Prepare U.S. patent applications, amendments, and legal documents for e-filing and reporting
  • Draft client reporting letters and expense reports

  • Communicate directly with clients as needed

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Windows 10, Microsoft Office, iManage, and Inprotech

  • Available for overtime as required
