The role requires at least two years of patent secretarial experience and typing 70 wpm, with strong MS Office skills and excellent communication. You will support attorneys in a fast-paced setting with billing and travel logistics.

Qualifications

• Two years of legal secretarial experience in the patent field.
• Must type a minimum of 70 words per minute.
• Knowledge of US and foreign patent & trademark prosecution procedures.
• Ability to prepare IP documents and e-file with USPTO.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare IP documents and e-file with USPTO and other offices.
• Prepare legal correspondence and proofreading for accuracy.
• Answer calls, transfer to staff, and take messages.
• Maintain attorney’s docket and monitor deadlines.
• Process bills; proof billing sheets; review and edit bills.
• Arrange travel and process expenses.
• Daily mailing and filing responsibilities.
