Qualifications

• Mid-level associate (classes 2020–2024) with a STEM degree and substantive patent litigation experience at a top firm.
• Comfort working on cutting-edge tech cases with lean teams and taking on responsibility early.
• Bonus points for standup/trial experience and strong technical knowledge paired with legal writing.

Responsibilities

• Handle patent litigation matters across the full lifecycle—district court, ITC Section 337, PTAB IPRs, and Federal Circuit appeals.
• Own claim construction and Markman briefing, dispositive motions, and Daubert challenges on complex tech cases.
• Collaborate with technical experts and cross-office trial teams on semiconductors, computer architecture, wireless standards, software, life sciences, and pharma.
• Conduct and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses in high-stakes disputes.
• Lead trial prep workstreams and gain real trial exposure—firm that tries cases, not a settlement shop.
• Manage discovery on lean teams representing leading tech and life-sciences companies
