Ideal candidates have 3–7 years of patent litigation at a law firm, strong writing and advocacy skills, and a technical background in engineering or computer science is a plus. Office-based with direct access to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• 3-7 years of experience handling patent litigation matters at a law firm.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
• A proactive mindset and willingness to assume increasing responsibility.
• An undergraduate degree or technical background in engineering or computer science is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with complex patent infringement and validity disputes.
• Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research, factual investigations, and technical analysis.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings.
• Coordinate with expert witnesses and assist with expert discovery.
• Work directly with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and litigation preparation.
• Support additional intellectual property matters involving trade secrets, trademarks, copyrights, and related disputes as needed.
