The ideal candidate has two or more years of experience as an attorney or agent drafting and globally prosecuting patent applications in chemical and polymer science. A Ph.D. in organic chemistry or polymer chemistry or a Master’s degree in organic chemistry or polymer chemistry plus either industry experience or significant law firm experience is required. Knowledge of polymer chemistry and polymer processing, particularly polymer synthesis, composites, and coatings, is especially advantageous. U.S. Patent and Trademark Office registration as an attorney or agent is required.
