Qualifications

• Must hold a USPTO license to practice as a patent attorney.
• Minimum 3 years of patent prosecution experience.
• Technical background in electrical engineering, fiber optic communications, and/or encryption/security.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, file, and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO.
• Conduct patentability analyses and freedom-to-operate opinions for clients.
• Develop and execute strategies for patent portfolio management and enforcement.
• Perform prior art searches and analysis to support patent applications and litigation.
• Draft and review patent claims, specifications, and responses to office actions.
• Provide technical and legal advice to clients on patent-related matters, including prosecution and litigation.
• Collaborate with clients, technical experts, and colleagues to address complex patent issues.
• Monitor and stay updated on changes in patent law and related technologies.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations as needed.
