TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. seeks an in-house Patent Agent for its Anderson, South Carolina office to support global tool brands including RYOBI and RIDGID.

The role focuses on patent clearance, prosecution, and portfolio management, requiring a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering and USPTO registration. Limited travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Licensed to Practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
• 3–5 years of experience as a patent practitioner in a law firm and/or corporate setting.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient written and verbal communication and advocacy skills.
• Limited travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage product clearance and patent application preparation and prosecution.

• Conduct invention mining and brainstorming sessions with TTICPT personnel.
