Job summary

Pfizer is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist – PAT Specialist to join the PCMM team. You will provide technical expertise for Process Analytical Technology instrumentation within a GMP solid oral dose manufacturing environment, supporting campaigns and data‑driven process improvements.

You will manage PAT instrumentation (NIR, FBRM) with calibrations and monitoring, while contributing to analytical method development, data analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field with minimum 3 years relevant experience in a lab/manufacturing or research setting.
• Ability to meet project milestones under general supervision and deliver technology/transfer/submission-ready outputs.
• Experience in problem-solving and instrument troubleshooting.
• Adherence to safe laboratory practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain PAT analytical instrumentation (e.g., NIR, FBRM) for manufacturing campaigns, including preparation, installation, calibration, and performance checks.
• Monitor instrument outputs during campaigns using real-time dashboards and analytics.
• Author and maintain system life cycle documentation (SLC), SOPs, and technical reports.
• Interact with project teams to present data and produce technical reports.
• Demonstrate proficiency with a wide variety of software and information systems.
