We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Pastry Sous Chef / Baker to become part of our esteemed DO&CO Family in Redondo Beach, CA.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage daily production of high-quality baked goods and pastries.
  2. Ensure all production processes, quality standards, and deadlines are met.
  3. Read, understand, and train team members on menu specifications.
  4. Supervise, motivate, and assist kitchen staff.
  5. Maintain compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCP standards.
  6. Report food safety issues promptly to management and the hygiene and food safety team.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and confidence.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to handle a heavy workload and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in monitoring and minimizing wastage.
  • Excellent communication skills across different staff levels.
  • Ability to work with urgency and a hands-on approach.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards.
