Job summary

Loews Arlington Hotel is seeking a Pastry Cook II to join the hotel pastry team, producing desserts served across dining outlets and banquets. You will work under the Pastry Chef to ensure high standards of taste, presentation and consistency in a fast-paced, upscale hotel kitchen.

The role offers growth opportunities, hands-on pastry experience, and cross-outlet collaboration. 1–2 years of pastry experience preferred; HACCP and teamwork are essential in our guest-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of professional pastry experience in hotel/resort/upscale setting.
  • Proficiency in doughs, fillings, custards, and garnishes.
  • Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and food safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, bake, and finish a variety of pastries, cakes, breads, and plated desserts.
  • Assist with mise en place and production prep for all hotel dining outlets.
  • Follow established recipes and presentation standards with accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain a clean, HACCP-compliant workstation and proper storage labeled items.
  • Mentor junior pastry cooks or apprentices as directed.
  • Collaborate on seasonal desserts, banquets, and events; ensure teamwork with service staff.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams for seamless service.
  • Attend mandatory trainings and meetings; perform other duties as assigned.
