Job summary

Pendry Chicago is seeking a Pastry Cook I to join our culinary team. You will craft desserts in line with our menu descriptions and hotel standards, bringing creativity and precision to every plate. You will collaborate with kitchen staff, train junior pastry cooks, and help develop new items while maintaining sanitation and quality.

The role offers growth and a vibrant team culture. This position requires a minimum of three years in a standalone restaurant or hotel and a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality pastries for restaurant and banquets per menus and standards.
• Restock kitchen supplies and maintain cleanliness of your area.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff for timely preparation and execution of orders.
• Train and mentor pastry cooks and kitchen staff as needed.
• Create and innovate new menu items and specials.
• Maintain knowledge of food products, sanitation standards, and culinary techniques.
• Fulfill guest orders promptly with attention to detail.
