You are detail-oriented, understand the importance of ingredient balance, and enjoy experimenting with your ingredients. THE ROLE

The Pastry Cook I reports to the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs, developing and executing recipes for desserts, breads, and pastries. You should have advanced pastry skills, be task-oriented, and able to take direction from culinary leaders. Collaboration and respect within the team are essential, as is a commitment to high standards and continuous learning.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Uphold company principles and embody values of collaboration and hospitality
  • Partner with culinary leadership to deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • Prepare food adhering to recipes, presentation standards, and guest preferences
  • Work organized and respectfully with ingredients, equipment, and workspace
  • Demonstrate professionalism and technical skill to ensure quality
  • Assist in coaching peers and fostering growth
  • Maintain open communication and participate in team meetings
  • Report equipment or facility issues for correction
  • Align with culinary priorities, demonstrating flexibility
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • Minimum two years as Pastry Cook II or higher, with four years in bakery or pastry roles
  • Knowledge of food safety; SafeStaff certification required within 30 days
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Effective communication skills and English proficiency
  • Ability to read recipes and perform basic math for inventory and ingredients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy items safely
