La Costa Glen Carlsbad invites applications for a Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. This full-time role runs 6:00am–2:30pm and focuses on assisting the Pastry Chef in producing desserts and pastries across the community for all dining rooms.

You will work with a creative kitchen staff, practice proper food handling, stay within budget, and contribute to a high-quality, resident-centered dining experience at our resort-style retirement community in Carlsbad, California.

Qualifications

• Two years pastry cook or baker experience in hospitality.
• Ability to plan and organize work and read recipes.
• Knowledge of sanitation and basic nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality desserts and pastries per recipes.
• Collaborate with pastry chef on new dessert specials.
• Plan production to align with meal serving hours and stock needs.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain hygiene.
• Assist in training new kitchen staff and support delivery across campus.
