Job summary

North Italia in Reston, VA is seeking Pastry Cooks / Bakers for a part-time role. You’ll craft breads, pastries, puddings and other desserts from scratch, following recipes to deliver consistent results.

You’ll prep, run the station efficiently, stock food, and ensure plate presentation meets specs while maintaining clean, sanitary work areas. Benefits include health coverage, PTO after 25 hours, and dining discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• At least 1 year of experience in pastry/baking.
• Good English communication skills.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Italian breads, pastries, puddings and other desserts from scratch following recipes.
• Complete prep list, run station, follow specs, stock food as needed.
• Portion products during baking, ensure plate presentation looks great.
• Maintain clean and organized workstation, follow sanitization standards.
