Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street in Boston is seeking an experienced Pastry/Kitchen professional to join our luxury team. You will prepare pastries and desserts per Four Seasons standards, support mise en place, and help manage ingredients and waste for high-end service.

The ideal candidate has pastry kitchen experience in a luxury setting, knowledge of baking techniques, and a strong commitment to quality. Weekend and holiday availability is required, and English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a luxury, fast-paced, Pastry kitchen.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to Four Seasons standards and recipes.
• Complete daily mise en place and station setup to support all meal periods and events.
• Prepare ingredients in advance based on business needs while minimizing waste.
• Maintain proper food storage, labeling, dating, and rotation per food safety standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to leadership.
• Operate, clean, and maintain pastry kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support food cost control through proper portioning and waste management.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment and uphold Four Seasons standards.

The Opportunity

What You Will Do

• Prepare pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to Four Seasons standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines.

• Support food cost control initiatives through proper portioning and waste management.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment and uphold Four Seasons standards of conduct and service excellence.
