Position: Pastry Cook
Location: Food Xchange @ Admiralty

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the daily pastry and bakery production.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure accurate quantity control of all products before storage.
• Maintain proper storage procedures and designate items to correct storage areas.
• Minimize waste and manage inventory levels effectively.
• Monitor stock levels, prepare mise-en-place schedules, and report any equipment or maintenance issues.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations in accordance with SFA (formerly AVA) standards.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in pastry production or a similar role.
  Candidates without experience may be considered for the Assistant Pastry Cook position.
• Strong knowledge of basic baking and pastry techniques.
• Able to perform in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Self-motivated, independent, and a strong team player.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking colleagues and suppliers.
• Willing to work a 6-day week, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
