Job summary

The Mills House, part of Davidson Hospitality Group, is seeking a Pastry Cook to join a dynamic culinary team in Charleston, SC. You will assist in preparing, baking, and presenting a wide range of pastries, desserts, and confections under the guidance of experienced Pastry Chefs.

This role fosters creativity and growth in a fast-paced environment. You will learn techniques, experiment with flavors, and contribute to elevating our dessert program while joining a supportive culture that values

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years pastry experience.
• College degree or certification in culinary field/hospitality field preferred
• Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members
• Ability to work extended hours when business necessitates
• Read, write and speak and understand English
• Ability to understand financial goals and accomplish them

Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake and present a wide variety of pastries, cakes and confections.
• Collaborate with Pastry Chefs to learn new techniques and flavors.
• Help elevate dessert offerings and gallery of pastry items for guests.
