Responsibilities include:

  1. Manage the daily production, preparation and presentation of all pastry for the hotel's restaurant(s) and room service to ensure a quality, consistent product that conforms to all franchise standards.
  2. Manage human resources in the production and preparation areas of the kitchen, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance reviews.
  3. Oversee maintenance and sanitation of the kitchen and equipment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  4. Monitor, analyze, and control labor and food costs, preparing reports to meet budgets while maintaining quality.
  5. Promote safety and accident prevention programs to minimize liabilities.

Qualifications:

  • High School Education or equivalent required.
  • ServSafe Manager and Allergens Certifications required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years food service experience; 2+ years pastry-focused experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of food principles, management, and problem-solving.

Physical Demands and Environment:

  • Heavy lifting, bending, standing for long periods, and mobility are required.
  • Work environment includes cold storage and high-temperature areas.
