Mazzone

Position: Pastry Chef

Salary: $70,000 to $80,000

Job Summary: Working as a Pastry Chef, you are responsible for the preparation, production, and ordering for the pastry department. You will handle, prepare, and store perishable products, adhere to HACCP guidelines, and may be involved in menu development, inventory, sanitation, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, produces, and orders for the pastry department
  • Handles, prepares, and stores perishable products
  • Adheres to HACCP guidelines for safe and sanitary food production

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Minimum three years of experience in upscale, high-volume restaurant or catering
  • Creative pastry skills and knowledge of quality products
  • Strong understanding of food trends, seasonal ingredients, sanitation, and food cost controls
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of safe food handling principles
  • ServSafe or Department of Health certification is a plus
