Job summary

Hi-Rise Bread Company is hiring a full-time Pastry Assistant in their pastry department. You will scale ingredients, bake a variety of items, and maintain a safe, clean environment in a fast-paced kitchen. Weekend availability is required and a positive, curious attitude is valued.

This is an hourly position with competitive pay based on experience (DOE). Staff receive a free meal and regular discounts on all menu items; health insurance is available after three months of full-time employment.

Qualifications

• No experience with commercial baking is required.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Willing to learn, stay curious and ask questions.

Hi-Rise Bread Company is hiring a full-time Pastry Assistant in their pastry department. Working alongside other team members, the Pastry Assistant will have the following basic responsibilities, with increased responsibilities as experience and skill provides:

• Scaling wet and dry ingredients according to recipe specifications
• Baking a variety of quickbreads, pastries, cookies and tarts.
• Managing and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

No experience with commercial baking is required, though experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. We need someone with the ability to work efficiently and accurately while keeping our faced paced kitchen environment clean and organized. The pastry assistant must be willing to learn, stay curious and ask questions.

Some weekend availability is required. This is a full-time, hourly position with competitive pay (DOE),
