Kneaders Bakery & Cafe in Idaho Falls is seeking an Assistant Bread Baker to join a dynamic kitchen team. The role offers full- or part-time hours with afternoon/evening shifts, and a chance to work with artisan breads and seasonal offerings.

You will lift dough, stand for long periods, and help maintain quality and sanitation. Training is available; the right candidate will bring a passion for food, reliability, and a team-first attitude.

Qualifications

• Large-scale baking/pastry experience is preferred; we are willing to train the right person.
• Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, & federal regulations for food handler & sanitation standards.
• Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus.
• Requires continuous standing and walking; ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and maintain high bread quality while handling large dough quantities.
• Stand for long periods and perform tasks with safety and accuracy.
• Adapt to changing schedules and stay flexible with cooking operations.
• Work afternoon/night shifts; Sunday shift when store is closed; holiday shifts may include overnight.

We are looking for an individual who is as passionate about food quality, customer service, community & as we are! In the role of Assistant Bread Baker, you will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team who will offer a unique menu selection of artisan, sweet, & seasonal breads all baked with honest, whole ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Proven track record of demonstrating superhero abilities in the kitchen from following recipes to paying close attention to additional details to create one-of-a-kind breads. Lifting large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies all weighing 50 lbs. or more.
• Requires continuous standing and walking throughout the shift, with limited opportunities for sitting. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation is required
• The ability to work through change & be able to be flexible all while keeping a close eye on what's cooking!
• The schedule availability to work afternoons/nights. Bread Baking shifts start around 11 am - 7 pm, plus a shift on Sunday (when the store is closed). During holiday seasons the Bread Baking team schedule may flex into overnight shifts too
