Job summary

Rosetta Bakery in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Full Time Pastry Assistant to join our team. You will help with pastry prep, decorating, packaging, and ensuring product quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of baking and pastry techniques.
• Ability to follow directions and maintain a clean work area.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a professional kitchen environment.
• Food Handler’s Certificate (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of pastries, desserts, doughs, fillings, and glazes.
• Follow standardized recipes and instructions from the Pastry Chef.
• Measure, mix, and prep ingredients accurately.
• Maintain proper storage and labeling of ingredients and finished products.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment, and tools.
• Help with decorating and finishing pastries to brand standards.
• Assist with the plating and packaging of products for display or sale.
• Monitor product quality and report inconsistencies or issues.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and company policies.
• Support with inventory checks and restocking supplies as needed.
• Participate in daily prep, cleaning, and closing duties.
