Job summary

The Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ is seeking an Associate Pastor/Intern to teach the adult Bible class on Sundays, prepare lessons, and coordinate with the current sermon series to foster participation and spiritual growth. The role includes leading small groups, missions, and youth ministry, coaching leaders, and providing pastoral care while working closely with the Senior Pastor.

Preaching about every 4–6 weeks and supporting visitation rounds out the responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach adult Bible classes on Sundays and align lessons with sermon series
• Foster participation, Bible reading and member encouragement
• Provide pastoral care within the class and coordinate with the Senior Pastor
• Oversee small group ministry and multiply healthy groups
• Organize missions, recruit and train volunteers for outreach
• Oversee youth ministry from birth to high school and support volunteers
• Preach roughly every 4–6 weeks and during Advent/Lent services
• Assist visitation team with hospital and home visits
• Bonus: musical abilities would be advantageous
