GEO Corrections & Detentions seeks a Religious Services Administrator to provide spiritual care and coordinate diverse religious programs for detainees. The role involves facilitating worship, collaborating with clergy, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

The position supports the facility's religious services, trains staff and volunteers, and ensures equitable access to religious practices for all inmates. Strong counseling and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ordained clergy or documented religious roles in faith community.
• Three years of pastoral education experience.
• Knowledge of major religions and their worship requirements.
• Knowledge of security procedures in a detention setting and ability to implement them within the religious program.
• Familiarity with facility policies and American Correctional Association standards.
• Skill in implementing and monitoring policy directives and supervising volunteers.
• Strong interpersonal communication with staff, detainees, and volunteers.
• Knowledge of basic fiscal management procedures.
• Ability to provide fair and equitable religious services for all faiths.
• Experience in interviewing and counseling individuals or groups.
• Proficiency with computers and the necessary software used by the department.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral care and advocate for detainees' religious rights.
• Visit living areas and hospitalized detainees.
• Lead worship and coordinate clergy contributions to the program.
• Develop and update religious programs for new detainees.
• Collaborate with compliance on documenting religious practices.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate all religious programs and volunteers.
• Train staff and volunteers on diverse beliefs and practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
