GEO Corrections & Detentions is seeking a Chaplain to provide religious and spiritual opportunities for inmates. The role schedules services, counseling, and volunteer opportunities and works with the psychology team to support inmate well-being.

The position requires a bachelor's degree in pastoral counseling, biblical studies, theology, or related field, plus strong organizational and communication skills to maintain records and coordinate faith-based activities for diverse inmate populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pastoral counseling, biblical studies, theology, or related field.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to understand and carry out moderately complex instructions and maintain records.
• Ability to work with inmates and diverse faiths.

Responsibilities

• Provides religious counseling and spiritual guidance within the facility as directed by the psychology team.
• Schedules and coordinates all religious and spiritual services, counseling, and volunteer opportunities.
• Assist in planning and coordinating all aspects of the religious program and recruit volunteers.
• Notify families and inmates during serious illness, injury, or death as appropriate.
• Develop and maintain communication with community groups and manage donations for the religious program.
• Ensure equal status and protection for all inmate religions; perform other duties as assigned.
