Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation seeks a Chaplain to provide pastoral care to patients, families, and staff within the hospital setting. Responsibilities include routine visitation, crisis and bereavement support, and facilitating chapel/worship services during assigned shifts and on-call rotations.

The role requires a seminary-level education (MDiv or equivalent) with CPE experience and endorsement/eligibility for chaplaincy through appropriate boards.

Qualifications

• 1 year service in a Southern Baptist church or institution, or previous clinical pastoral experience.
• 2 years preferred.
• Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides pastoral care through routine and/or referral visitation.
• Provides crisis and bereavement care during times of deaths, codes, and other emergencies.
• Contributes to development and implementation of support activities for patients, families, and colleagues.
• Provides chapel/worship services as required.
• Completes assigned goals.
