Job summary

McBain Baptist Church in McBain, MI is seeking a full-time Pastor to shepherd the congregation through preaching the Gospel and pastoral care. The role requires strong leadership, biblical teaching, and collaboration with staff, volunteers, and the church board.

The successful candidate will align with the church’s doctrinal statement and bylaws, provide care to members, and perform weddings, funerals, and baptisms as needed. A bachelor’s degree in ministry is preferred.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of the Gospel and Christian theology.
• Bachelor’s Degree (graduate degree preferred) in ministry or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver biblically based weekly sermons and lead adult Sunday School.
• Lead and plan services, and Awana ministry.
• Provide pastoral care, visit the sick and homebound, and offer crisis support.
• Mentor and supervise church staff and volunteers in a collaborative environment.
• Foster spiritual growth and discipleship through various ministries.
• Work with the church board to set and execute a growth vision.
• Engage with the local community and perform weddings, funerals, baptisms.
