Job summary

McBain Baptist Church in McBain, MI is seeking a full-time Pastor to shepherd the flock through preaching the Gospel and supportive ministry.

The candidate will deliver biblically based sermons, lead worship and children’s ministries, provide pastoral care, and work with the church board to guide growth and outreach in the local community.

Requirements include biblical theology, a bachelor’s degree in ministry, strong communication and leadership, and a heart for care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ministry or related field, graduate degree preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills to connect with a diverse congregation.
• Strong leadership with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Heart for pastoral care to support congregation members in times of need.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize events, and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver biblically based weekly sermons, lead adult Sunday School.
• Lead and plan services and children’s ministries.
• Provide pastoral care for members, visiting the sick and homebound, counseling in times of crisis.
• Mentor, supervise, and support church staff and volunteers, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Facilitate spiritual growth and discipleship through ministries.
• Work with the church board to establish and execute growth vision.
• Engage with the local community and build relationships.
• Perform weddings, funerals, baptisms and dedications as required.
