Job summary

Southwest Chinese Baptist Church in Stafford, Texas is searching for an innovative pastor to nurture the Cantonese-speaking congregation, primarily focusing on couples and families aged 30-45. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of ministry experience and a Master of Divinity degree.

This role requires fluency in Cantonese and English, with a passion for church evangelism and discipleship. The pastor will report to the Senior Pastor and will be part of a growing community.

Qualifications

• Track record of leading discipleship for individuals and groups.

Southwest Chinese Baptist Church (SWCBC) seeks an innovative and energetic pastor to nurture and grow the Cantonese-speaking congregation. The pastor, possessing the spiritual maturity described in 1 Timothy 3, will primarily work with the 30–45 year old age group, consisting mainly of couples and families with children.

Requirements

• Commitment to the evangelical faith and practice of SWCBC.
• Must be a servant leader with proven team-building skills and motivation.
• Must have at least five years of active pastoral or church leadership ministry experience, preferably in the context of North America.
• Must have a track record of leading discipleship for individuals and groups.
• A passion for church evangelism, focusing on outreach to Cantonese-speaking young couples and families.
• The preferred applicant should be married and demonstrate an exemplary family life.
• Experience in Marriage Ministries is a plus.
• Holder of a Master of Divinity degree or equivalent.
• Fluent in Cantonese and English; Mandarin is a plus.

This position reports to the Senior Pastor. Annual compensation is dependent on experience and qualifications.
