Now Hiring: Pasta Cook – Èlephante, Santa Monica
Pay: $21+ per hour, depending on experience
Location: Santa Monica, CA

Èlephante brings coastal Italian vibes to Santa Monica with a focus on bold flavors, quality ingredients, and high-volume service in a stunning beachside setting. We’re currently looking for a passionate and skilled Pasta Cook to join our culinary team and bring our fresh pasta dishes to life.

About the Role
As our Pasta Cook, you’ll be in charge of preparing and executing a range of handmade pasta dishes — from al dente perfection to rich, flavorful sauces. You'll be working in a high-energy kitchen where timing, technique, and teamwork are key.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Cooking pasta to order with consistent timing and texture
• Preparing sauces and garnishes with precision and attention to detail
• Executing recipes to standard and ensuring consistency in flavor and presentation
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked station throughout service
• Following food safety, portioning, and sanitation protocols
• Managing multiple orders during peak hours without compromising quality
• Assisting with pasta prep, including rolling, cutting, and shaping as needed
• Participating in opening/closing duties and kitchen walkthroughs
• Communicating clearly with line cooks, expo, and the front-of-house team

What We’re Looking For

• Solid experience working the pasta station in a busy, upscale kitchen
• Familiarity with fresh pasta production and Italian cooking techniques
• Strong sense of timing and attention to plating and texture
• Able to multitask under pressure and work efficiently in a tight space
• Reliable, team-oriented, and excited to grow within a professional kitchen
• Flexible availability (nights, weekends, holidays)
• Physically able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for long periods
