AMETEK, Inc. is hiring a Metal Finishing Operator (Passivation) in Southington, CT to set up and operate passivation, tumble, heat treat and cleaning processes while ensuring quality and proper documentation of parts.

The role works a 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM) with an initial 1st shift training period (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) for 2–4 weeks, after which you transfer to the regular shift and participate in safety and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

• HS graduate or GED.
• At least 6 months’ work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and techniques.
• Basic mathematical aptitude.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate passivation, tumble, heat treat, and cleaning operations.
• Perform basic machining operations using assigned machine tools.
• Maintain tooling and equipment related to the PCH operations.
• Review and complete required daily documentation.
• Maintain records and reports and ensure quality standards.
• Read basic blueprints, diagrams and specifications to assemble products.
• Assist in training other associates and participate in 5S activities.
• Identify defects and document issues; follow safety procedures.
