Job summary

GAT Airline Ground Support is seeking Passenger Assistance Agents to help passengers through check-in, gate assistance, and baggage areas within the airport environment.

Responsibilities include aiding passengers with special needs, operating jetway and ticketing software, and guiding travelers through Customs and immigration. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to greet and assist all customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner.
  • Pass an extensive post offer pre-employment background check, including fingerprinting.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Assist passengers through arrival and check-in processes including support for passengers with special needs such as UM, VIP, and wheelchair assistance.
  • Assist Ramp Service Agents to ensure wheelchairs, strollers, and gate-checked bags are available for loading and delivery to passengers.
  • Operate equipment including the jetway, computer keyboards, and carrier-specific reservation/ticketing software.
  • Push wheelchairs with passengers through all airport areas including terminal and gate areas.
  • Assist with passengers' personal needs and lifting bags up to 50 lbs.
  • Inspect and verify passenger documentation.
  • Direct passengers through Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine.

  • Assist passengers as needed through arrival and check-in processes including support for passengers with special needs such as unaccompanied minors (UM), VIP passengers and passengers needing wheelchair assistance
  • Assist Ramp Service Agents to ensure that wheelchairs, strollers, and gate-checked bags are made available for loading upon departure and delivery to passengers upon arrival
  • Operate equipment to include the jetway, computer keyboards, and carrier-specific reservation/ ticketing software
  • Push wheelchairs with wheelchair-bound airline passengers through all areas of the airport, including terminal and gate areas
  • Assist with their personal needs and lifting bags at least 50 lbs.
  • Inspect and verify passenger documentation
  • Direct passengers through Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience, and a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to greet and assist all customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner.
  • Perform any reasonable customer service related job duty requested by Company supervision and/or airline customer.
  • Must possess good communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Pass an extensive post offer pre-employment background check, including fingerprinting and a criminal history record check required by federal law
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
