Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission in Austin, TX seeks a PASRR Specialized Services Policy Reviewer (Program Specialist IV) to review, adjudicate, and authorize PASRR specialized services for nursing facilities. You will provide technical assistance, analyze documentation, and ensure compliance with PASRR rules.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of PASRR processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced government environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of PASRR processes, policies, and specialized services authorization requirements.
• Ability to review documentation and authorize PASRR requests accurately.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills for deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review, adjudicate, and authorize nursing facility PASRR requests within timeframes.
• Provide technical assistance and policy clarification to providers on PASRR procedures.
• Develop program and quality monitoring policies for prior authorization.
• Participate in work groups and portal initiatives (LTC Online Portal, UAT).
• Complete other duties as assigned by PASRR Policy Manager.
