Job summary

Specialty Coating Systems, Inc. in Milford, CT is seeking a Coating Operator I to run Parylene deposition systems coating customer parts to meet specifications. You will load machines, monitor runs, document results and assist with routine maintenance and setup of related equipment.

The role requires basic mechanical aptitude, ability to read procedures, and good manual dexterity. On-site position with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and quality control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; proven mechanical ability and/or previous machine operator experience.
• Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to read measurements on tools involved in the coating process; good manual dexterity and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Follows MSPs and verbal instructions from supervision.
• Prepares job traveler sheets and coordinates processing of parts through coating steps.
• Loads machines, monitors process equipment, and verifies coating thickness using measurement devices.
• Operates coating and related equipment with minimal assistance; restarts and shuts down machines as scheduled.
• Maintains records, checklists, and logs for equipment and QC testing.
• Reads customer drawings or specifications related to processing.
• Assembles fixtures for coating and handles cleaning/promotion baths.
