Job summary

Specialty Coating Systems Inc. is seeking a Coating Operator I to run parylene deposition systems and related equipment. You will coat customer parts to engineering specifications, perform light maintenance, and assist with shipping/receiving as needed.

You will read drawings, prepare travelers, document processing steps, and ensure coating thickness accuracy using measurement devices. Strong mechanical aptitude and basic chemistry knowledge are helpful for daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Ability to read measurements on coating tools.
• High manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of Computers.

Responsibilities

• Operates parylene deposition systems to coat customer parts per specs.
• Runs other equipment (vacuum ovens, plasma etcher, tumble coater) as needed.
• Performs routine equipment maintenance and refurbishing.
• Prepares job traveler sheets and documents processing steps.
• Loads machines, monitors runs and verifies coating thickness.
• Maintains records, logs, QC testing and witness strips.
• Reads customer drawings or specifications for processing parts.
• Assembles fixtures for coating and handles cleaning/promotion baths.
