Store - BOS-CHELMSFORD, MA

Position Overview

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) within a Michaels store to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. Deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop at our store and find what they’re looking for. Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience. Complete operational tasks including truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards as needed to deliver our Brand Promises.

Event Coordination
  1. Plan and coordinate multiple events simultaneously, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
  2. Create a fun and creative environment for clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+.
  3. Demonstrate and instruct craft projects, perform face painting, and other activities.
  4. Implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons according to company standards.
  5. Communicate effectively with clients and store team members about events.
  6. Handle administrative tasks like emails, phone calls, and paperwork.
  7. Adjust plans based on client feedback and needs.
  8. Create backup or emergency plans for events.
  9. Ensure client satisfaction and uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
  10. Set up, break down, and clean up before and after each event.
Customer Experience
  1. Assist customers with shopping, locating products, and providing solutions.
  2. Provide quick and friendly checkout experiences.
  3. Engage customers in Rewards program and Credit Card enrollments.
  4. Educate customers about Voice of Customer surveys.
  5. Support Omni channel processes like BOPIS and SFS.
  6. Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.
  7. Complete merchandise recovery and store maintenance tasks.
  8. Support store in-stock and safety programs.
  9. Follow SOPs and company policies for compliance.
  10. Maintain respectful and positive interactions with customers and team members.
  11. Cross-train in Custom Framing sales and production.
  12. Participate in daily store cleanliness activities.
Additional Duties

Physical and Work Environment Requirements
  • Stand for long periods, move throughout the store, and perform physical tasks like lifting and reaching.
  • Work in a climate-controlled environment with some outdoor and stockroom work.
  • Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
