Job summary

A children's development franchise is looking for a passionate Party Coach to lead activities for kids aged 4-9 in Albuquerque. The ideal candidate will have coaching experience and be CPR certified. Responsibilities include teaching the KidStrong curriculum, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and engaging with parents. This role requires a physically active individual who enjoys working with children and is available during school breaks and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Teach kids the KidStrong curriculum during parties.
• Manage party activities for up to 20 children.
• Ensure safety and well-being of all attendees.
• Maintain cleanliness of the center.
• Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor.
• Demonstrate and manage implementation of exercises.
• Keep accurate attendance records at all times.
• Ensure cleanliness of the center including lobby and restrooms.
• Record class data for parents via KS Coach’s App.
• Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack.
• Complete training through LearnUpon as required by HQ.
• Work in physically intensive environment; lift/move equipment up to 25 lbs.
• Hands-on coaching to ensure proper technique and safety.
• Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by KidStrong Director.
• Supervision, safety, and program implementation for campers.

The Role & Schedule

We are looking for a camp coach with an athletic or coaching background who ideally has experience in birthday parties or coaching kids ages 4 - 9

KidStrong Party Coach would focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development that stems from a designed camp curriculum

Ideal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding any incidents that take place during camp

Parties typically run when school is out, weekend afternoons from 4pm-8pm *may vary depending on locations - the ideal candidate must be available during those hours

Coach Responsibilities

• Party sizes of up to 20 children, ages ranging from 4 - 9
• Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team
• Must be able to ensure camp both start and ends on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum
• Greet students as well as parent(s)/guardian(s) as they arrive to the party
• Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading camp
• Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises
• Keep an accurate record of attendance at all times
• Ensure cleanliness of the center including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors - this includes taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping, wiping down equipment, and sanitizing the mat at the end of a shift
• Effectively use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.)
• Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, our company messaging system, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers
• Complete training through LearnUpon as required by the HQ Training and Certification team
• Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through camp, lift and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.
• Must be comfortable working "hands-on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.
• Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by KidStrong Director
• Supervision, safety, and program implementation for campers while ensuring the well-being of all children

Job Qualifications

• Passion for working with children is non-negotiable!
• Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred
• CPR certified
• Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
• Self-starter who just gets a job done
