British Swim School of Southside Jacksonville is hiring enthusiastic Swim Instructors to teach vital water survival skills to students of all ages, especially young children, at the St Augustine Vilano Beach location. Our mission is to save lives by equipping individuals with confidence and skills in the water.

No teaching experience? No problem—we provide full training and support, with paid training and certification opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; enrollment in school okay.
• Enthusiastic and comfortable around water; able to teach multiple lesson types.
• Must maintain all required British Swim School Aquatics training and testing.

Responsibilities

• Instructs swimming lessons per British Swim School standards and maintains certifications.
• Supports Aquatics Manager; follows flexible schedule (evenings possible).
• Maintains a safe, clean pool area and enforces Lifeguard safety principles.

British Swim School at Holiday Inn Express - St Augustine - Vilano Beach is hiring!

We are looking for enthusiastic Swim Instructors to teach vital water survival skills to students of all ages, especially young children. Our mission is simple but powerful: to save lives by equipping individuals with the confidence and skills they need in the water.

Your Typical Responsibilities:

Reports directly to and supports the Aquatics Manager and/or Business Owner(s).

Instructs swimming lessons in accordance with British Swim School training and program standards, maintaining certifications throughout employment.

Work a flexible schedule that may include evenings (3:30pm-7:30pm)

Work in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high and be in the water for the duration of the shift.

Maintains order and safety in and around swimming areas. (applying Lifeguard safety principles)

Provides a safe, clean and organized pool area.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required, or currently enrolled in high school and on track to graduate.

Enthusiastic personality.

Comfortable in and around the water.

Must maintain certifications throughout the length of employment.

Must complete all required British Swim School Aquatics-specific training and testing.

Capable of teaching Group, Semi-Private, and Private Swim Lessons.

Capable of evaluating swimmer's progress

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with children.
• Swimming experience: 1-2 years
• Customer service skills: 1 year preferred
• Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s) preferred (but can be obtained during training)

Job Types: Part-time / Year round

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
