Job summary

Maarif Foundation USA is seeking a caring and dependable Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our school team in New Jersey. Schedule: 3 days per week, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

The RN will provide nursing care for students, administer medications, respond to emergencies, and maintain health records in accordance with state regulations. Collaboration with parents and staff is essential to promote a safe, healthy school environment.

Qualifications

• Current NJ RN license.
• Experience with children; school nursing preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to respond calmly in emergencies.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate health documentation.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and oversight to students in accordance with physician orders, school policies, and applicable New Jersey regulations.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate first aid.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
• Review student immunization records and monitor compliance with New Jersey immunization requirements.
• Promote a safe and healthy school environment.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and staff regarding student health needs and concerns.
• Assist with school health education and wellness initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with parents, school districts, community organizations, government agencies, students, supervisors, and staff.
